Map Explanation
Fool's Theory Test
This map is a little demo with action, platforming and puzzle elements based in the utilization of player's abilities (using Unreal GAS) and its reactions with the environment.

It's made as a skill test for Fool's Theory studio to work on the Witcher's remake. The project is built around Gameplay Ability System, for which I implemented the whole base, having also enemies and a little story.

GAME DESIGN

Designed and iterated on the core gameplay mechanics and the character's 3 C's​​

Designed the combat system and the enemies abilities and moveset

Designed the puzzles of the game to make use of the player skillset that can be used both for combats and for solving these puzzles

Created the gameplay as a demo for an ARPG with numerous mechanics and moves

LEVEL DESIGN

Designed, blocked-out and iterated on the whole level with platforming and puzzle elements and carefully adjusted all the items used

Integrated the tutorial in the Level Design paying special attention to the organic learning of the mechanics

Integrated the main narrative elements into the Level Design

NARRATIVE DESIGN

Worked as Narrative Designer, writing the main background story

Wrote the dialogues during the demo and the tutorial quotes that help the players understand how to interact with the surroundings
TECHNICAL DESIGN

Scripted the whole elements in the demo (envolving player mechanics, enemies and IA, behaviour trees and level items interactions) using Unreal Blueprints

Implemented most of the features in the game using Unreal's Gameplay Ability System (GAS) building it from the base using C++
